Boredom

Arrggghhhh.. No one around.. called a few friends.. but they are either busy, not in town, not feeling well or some no answer.. so bored.. so tired.. so lazy.. sigh!!

This is the latest friend site i signed up.. newbie there.. so many new things for me to adventure there.. i'm slow.. i'm lost.. or its too complicated.. since the day i joined.. i was poked, bitten by vampire, thrown water baloon, treated drinks, received flower, gifted mystery gift, someone draw on my funwall, adopted a pet, etc etc.. all in http://www.facebook.com :)

I really don't know why i been invited to join those kind of sites every now & then.. i have had signed up numbers of it.. namely friendster, friendx, hi5, space, multiply,etc.. u name it.. too many that i can hardly recall.. sigh!! do it just to stay in touch with friends & for fun sake :p

I shoot-'em

It was Friday 07 Sep '07 when i offerred to help my colleague to get some shots on the next day, after she told me that our agency have yet revert to her on the photoshoot arrangement she requested. She needs the photos to be use in our coming press ad, but for me i just did it as fun shoot.

Hmm.. so lucky to have 2 handsome young men in our office on Saturday noon for the un-pro photog (ahem..me la) to shoot. Hahaha. They are young executives from our corporate clients, both are our students.

Shu Hiong a mixed (kwai-lo) have the enegetic personality while Wah Ming on the other was a little shy guy. Both of them kinda nervous during the shoot. (Hey! Can consider them for male photography model)

My 1st attempt for this kind of shoot.. too bad i do not have studio equipments.. worse i run-out of batt for my flash gun.. therefore only depends on the build-in flash.. at the same time my camera sensor was not working properly (really.. it's time to send in for check-up).. no-no-no was my lack of knowledge/experience for this kind of shoot.. look at the poor lighting & my poor skill that left obvious shadow on the pix.. plus badly focus.. not sharp enough.. sigh already done :(

Sorry peeps if i have sound rude lately & also for not updating my blog as frequent 'interesting' as before.. yup i know there's a possibility that i'd lose my readers/visitors :(

Well, i've been really very stressed as u could see the way i write & what i've written in my blog. So angry.. so frustrated.. so depressed. Sigh!!

Anyway, i hope u guys/gals would still come back to check on my blog. I'll continue to share interesting stuffs here.

The History of the Middle Finger

Well, a friend forwarded me something I never knew before, and now that I know it, I feel compelled to share it to intelligent people in the hope that they, too, will feel edified. Isn't history more fun when u know something about it? Here goes the history...

Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, the French, anticipating victory over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured English soldiers. Without the middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English longbow and therefore they would be incapable of fighting in the future. This famous English longbow was made of the native English Yew tree, and the act of drawing the longbow was known as "plucking the yew" (or "pluck yew").

Much to the bewilderment of the French, the English won a major upset and began mocking the French by waving their middle fingers at the defeated French, saying, See, we can still pluck yew! Since 'pluck yew' is rather difficult to say, the difficult consonant cluster at the beginning has gradually changed to a labiodentals fricative F', and thus the words often used in conjunction with the one-finger-salute! It is also because of the pheasant feathers on the arrows used with the longbow that the symbolic gesture is known as "flipping the bird."

Bad Day - Too Good

This is cool. What’s so special about this TVC is the cute babies and the music. The idea of using babies relating to adult working life. They are so adorable that makes me smile and it makes me think about my work life. Can i have no worries?

Was away last weekend and now back in piece with aches all over :p

Was in island but don't have the chance to enjoy beautiful sun, sand and sea. This is real. My 1st time island trip that i don't spend time for relax under the coconut tree at the beach and soaking myself into the salty water. Only slept for less then 5 hours on the 1st nite and 3 1/2 hours on the 2nd nite. This is the 1st time i have such a long road ride in my own country which took me more then 9 hours on the road. The longest journey in the country in my life. We convoyed there - 8 coaches.

When for camping in Perhentian Besar at Perhentian Island for 3 days 2 nites. Cool i have 1 tent all by myself. I know no one other then my busy friend who leave me alone. I do meet and make new friends.

By coach : Departed KL Sentral @ 12am arrived Kuala Terengganu @ 9.30am --> departed Kuala Terengganu @ 11.30am arrived Kuala Besut @ 1.30pm --> By boat : Deparated Kuala Besut @ 5.00pm arrived Perhentian Besar @ 5.30pm.

ARRIVAL - 26/08/2007 (Sunday)
By boat : Departed Perhentian Besar @ 10.30am arrived Kuala Besut at 11.00am --> By coach : Departed Kuala Besut @ 12.00pm arrived KL Sentral @ 9.45pm

So now can u imagine how tired i was and why i said i've aches everywhere.

I haven't mention the reason i'm there ya. Err.. i was earlier invited by the organizer to help to shoot the event, my intention was to shoot the watersport but i ended up busy helping in coordinating the event that i have lack of time for shooting. So sad that i don't have the chance to go out to shoot the water game. There're lotsa of participants (more then 300 pax) to handle. Participants come from all over Malaysia and there are also foreigners participants.

Oops! Hehe.. it was actually an annual adventure race called Perhentian Island Challenge, jointly organised by Stated Government of Terengganu, Terengganu State Tourism, Terengganu Treasures and PIC Adventures Sdn Bhd and supported by Tourism Malaysia.

Life's too short for the wrong job

My ex-colleague forward me some awesome & illusionary posters.. looks like part of headhunter (jobsintown.de) advertisement campaign for jobseekers.. they're real cool.. i'm impressed with the creative & brilliant idea.. i found it interesting to share it here.. look at the idea.. mystery explained.. washing machine, coffee machine, atm machine, photobooth & others.. i wonder how will it be if we have those in our country.. wouldn't it be cool if that were an actual job?.. but who's gonna work?.. hehe :D :D

Stressed - Desserts

What do u do when you are stressed out of your mind? Sometimes, situations, work, relationship, family and financial could add an ounce of stress in our life. How do u deal with it?

Huh!! I feel so stressed lately. Both physically and mentally tired. Life's sucks. I have many time spit of tongue with bad words lately. I have been trying hard to control myself not to use those words but i really lose control. I've even showed my temper. I keep reminding myself to hang on, time will pass. Gosh!! But how long should i hang on like this??

For the past week, every night before i close my eyes to sleep, to make myself feel better i keep thinking and imagining a better tomorrow and wishing for a star to shine. I pray for it.

I remembered i once received a forwarded mail on stress management. A story about a lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, she raised a glass of water and asked, "How heavy is this glass of water? " The students answered ranged from 8oz. to 20oz. The lecturer replied, "The weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long u try to hold it. If i hold it for a minute, that's not a problem. If i hold it for an hour, i'll have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, u'll have to call an ambulance."

Arrggghhhh.. What talking me here now?

Well, something i did this morning when i woke up does helped me calm down a little. I make a list of my favourite things and things i wanna do, honestly it works. At least it makes me smile when i read it. I just can't wait to do it 1 by 1 soon.

1. Pamper myself with a long SPA. A relax aromatherapy or balinese massage, bath & scrub now on my mind.
2. Have a 24hours sleep sleep sleep.
3. Eat eat eat. Just oh.my.goodness. Craving for seafood. Yes seafood.
4. Hangout with friends. Musics and dance.
5. Some 'songing' sessions to sing my throat out.
6. Driving down somewhere with no one around and music playing.
7. Going to places where there is sun, sand & sea.
8. Receiving unexpected gift and call (good one).
9. Fondle my bulky cammie and get out to shoot again soon.
10. A trip, holiday, vacation which i need it so so so much.
11. A dive. It has been a while i have not been jumping down to the underwater world. Thirsty for salt water.
12. No work for a short while but with income.

I remembered someone told me stressed is just a desserts if i reverse it. So i think to destress i should grab some dessert now (oops! i only have vanilla & chocolate ice-cream in my fridge)

Mee a.k.a. Noodles

This is what i settled for yesterday.. ya.. my simple late dinner after a long wait.. tapau while on the way back home.. northern people call it Hokkien Mee (Hokkien Noodles) while central & southern people call in Har Mee (Prawn Noodles).. yellow noodles + rice vermicelli + sprouts + water convovulus + egg + prawns + pork slices + fried fish paste slices + fried onions.. soup a little spicy.

Lost Patient

Yes.. i've really lost my patient.. can u imagine this.. dinner appointment at 7.30pm.. then said change to 8.00pm.. called said 20 mins late which means should be 8.20pm.. 8.30pm called said leaving office.. need abt 8 mins to reach but wanna go back to change 1st.. hey! aren't u already so late & i'm waiting? i didn't go back home & not even change.. ok.. sabar.. then 8.50pm i called to find out where to eat so i can go in & wait.. i'm hungry already.. well, u don't answer.. alrite.. 9.00pm walked to my car & vroom back.. yes decided not to wait any longer.. come on.. i go all the way there.. a place i hardly know.. u choose the date, time & venue.. don't think i 'm too much rite??.. after so long we never meet.. no changes.. still the same.. somemore can give me same stupid old excuses.. somemore dare to ask me turn back.. somemore ask me where am i & wanna come over.. u make me feel like a fool.. yes, u called to apologizes.. no way man.. sorry don't help.. it doesn't matter anymore.. i don't feel or see the sincerity u have to make the dinner.. really disappointed.. SIGH!!

My sis send me this at wee hours.. omg.. like that also can.. this is a song from a Malaysian brave dude now studing in Taiwan.. if you know chinese (mandarin & hokkien) you will understand better.. first there's the desecration of the song.. then there's the sarcastic hint on police corruption.. followed by the sarcastic reference to the morning Azan prayers being noisy with the muezzin's voice blarring like a noisy rooster.. then there's the sarcastic reference to NEP.. and the sarcastic reference to the civil service.. also reference to our smart talents running away, leaving Malaysia, brain-drain.. there's also references to the discriminatory entry to the local universities.. haha.. enjoy yo!!

Jill Greenberg

For those who don't know who is Jill Greenberg, she's a professional commercial female photographer who became notorious for her portrait series of children crying “End Times” which can be view at The Manipulator website and also on You Tube Cryin'.

Here's some info : Jill Greenberg is a Sick Woman Who Should Be Arrested & Charged With Child Abuse, Jill's response and Podcast interview with Jill / Jill on MSNBC.

No doubt I'm very impressed with her work: stunning, excellent and her post-processing skills that makes all her shots outstanding but I also feel sad looking at the crying babies too. I don't know if i should call this ARTISTIC or ABUSIVE photography?

Are they promoting unsafe sex or wet suits?

LOOK.... their tagline "Improve your flexibility" & copy "Not as thick. Just as warm. All the rubber you need." ....COOL

Aren't this is a new & brilliant way to sell the wet suit.... who won't stop to have a second look at the the nude ads?.. obviously this kind of ads will not appear in our country.

Overall, i think the best thing about this campaign is the photographer.... he must have enjoyed the shoot.... lucky man ;)
